Campground History

our story

This campground was formerly
Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park

Completed in 1977, this campground has had a long history and many changes in ownership over the years. Formally it had been a Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park. It was also known as the Manti Balloon Port and provided tethered hot-air ballon rides during the Manti Pageant in the late 20th century.

A small wooden cabin on wagon wheels stands in a snowy field with mountains in the background under a partly cloudy sky.
A small brown marmot stands upright on a large pale rock, surrounded by scattered stones and green vegetation in an outdoor, natural setting.

Meet the New Owners

A large bear statue wearing blue pants and a white shirt that reads "Temple Hill Resort, Manti, UT" stands in a landscaped area with rocks and trees near a parking lot and RVs.

The newest owners purchased the property in April 2025 and are working hard to restore the charm as well as continuing to make improvements.

The “Bear” still welcomes everyone to the campground and it’s fun to watch and people come and do “photo ops” with him.

50th Anniversary of Temple Ridge

The year 2027 will be an exciting year as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the property being continuously run as a campground. We are looking forward and planning many activities and events to commemorate this important milestone.
